I don't know if I have a Great Work or not, so I decided my own purpose: to get as adept as possible with Magick, and increase the world's acceptance of Magick.

Glad to see it appreciated :) if anyone manages to put it to use I'd love to hear how it worked!

[WILD FIRE]

At the request of Aaron Du Nightgaunt and Arjil, here's WildFire, the Viral Metaspell. Designed to make a magickal working contagious and spread by touch. This ritual was designed by a good friend of mine who, if I'm being honest, is a cleverer spellcrafter than I am  :P

WILD FIRE
Viral Metaspell, when combined with another ritual, it will cause the magick to become contagious and spread by touch.

One person at each cardinal direction ("Witnesses" within center triangles) and one in center ("Caster" within Wild Fire seal). Each witness holds a chalice and a Contract, which they should sign (with their full/True name) ahead of time:

"As I witness
So shall I understand
As I understand
So I shall spread
As I burn this contract
I shall agree
with the ashes
I shall bathe my hands
with my hands I shall
Spread what I have seen
Till my death
or, forever's end

   x ________"

Caster speaks aloud, impressing their Will into their words:

"Witness now what I do
Witness now my vision
Witness now my wish for the world
Witness now my will
and let it be done

My witnesses spread what you see
spread my vision
spread my will
through touch of hand
to all worlds' corners
to life's end or forever's end"

Witnesses burn the contracts within the chalices and rub the ashes onto their hands. Keeping the ash on their hands, the witnesses enter the center Wild Fire seal and conduct the primary spell. Once that is finished, the center caster dismisses the Witnesses:

"My will you have seen
heed it and spread it
from now till death
or forever's end"

Personally, the only time I've noticed that is when I'm either bumping into the Judeo-Christian paradigm (those spirits really tend to not like me), or as a very general, vague resistance that I've always attributed to consensus reality (it doesn't feel like it has any particular "source," which I'm pretty good at feeling out). *Shrug*?

This is just a stream of thought that kind of bubbled up on its own the other day. Thought some of you might enjoy it.

I am a Magickian, an Occultist, a Wizard, a Shaman, a Sorcerer. I bend the fabric of this illusion known as "reality." I fire sigils, conjure spirits, consult Tarot, and throw "voo." I tweak chance in my favor and pluck at the strings of Fate.

Many occultists are quick to define themselves in opposition to the "normal" - but the reality we see is just as much an illusion as Mundanity.  Uncle Al Crowley may have been a windbag, but that doesn't make him wrong - every man and woman IS a star, and every one deserves the opportunity to live at the highest potential.

I am the connection between the Magickal and the Mundane. I live, I work, I eat, sleep, and breathe; I maintain multiple interpersonal relationships on multiple levels, some share my fascination with the spirit world, while others are content to ignore it. I am the same as any person on this planet, living life in the most satisfactory manner I can manage.

I am Human - fallible, powerful, limited, emotional, clever, stubborn, varied, and - most importantly - with infinite potential. I live within the in-between space separating the Magickal from the Mundane, always experiencing both. I live within the Veil, even while I tear it asunder, because the beauty and wonder of each world can only enhance that of the other - I see it, and it is worth sharing with all the stars of Earth.

I am a Sorcerer, and reality is a much stranger (and more wonderful) place than we have been led to believe. There is Magick in the world just begging for release . . . so what are you waiting for?

Aw man, Otherkin get such a bad rap. I get it, for whatever reason, it tends to be people with no clue who get drawn to that label. But like Wicca I don't see it as inherently flufftastic  ???

I know pretty much jack and shit about cursing firsthand, but a good friend has done a few very successful curses, and his advice was always to remove emotional attachment from the working. Rather than being a hurt, angry person lashing out at someone, be impartial as Judge, Jury, and Executioner (so to speak). But I haven't ever had the need to test it for myself, so take that for what you will.

Honestly? I don't know, perhaps time will tell. I'm gonna do it regardless, though  8)

The only input I have is that I really like the aesthetic of the forum as it is (black background with white text and the way the links at the top look in particular).

I plan to evoke Ellis and have a chat soon, and hopefully gain a little more insight into what she can do :P that, I suppose, could count as my "initiation".

Hello all! I've read some of the DKMU stuff in the past, but I think it never really "clicked" with me until recently, so, here I finally am.

I'm first and foremost a magic practitioner - magickian, wizard, sorcerer, witch, whatever title takes your fancy. I do sigils, ritual magic (inspired by ceremonial magic, but heavily modified), energy work (including self-attuned Reiki), and servitor creation (which I feel like I have a particular talent for). I've been teaching myself magick for 12 years now, and only recently have I felt like anything but a bungling Fool  :P

I have no qualms about contradictions - most people who get to know me find out I'm a bit of one myself (my bit of reverence for Eris, for example, despite my rather orderly way of life). I'm not really much of an artist, but I hope to do some writing despite a stunning lack of originality  ;D Anyway, I'm an open book and open to questions if anyone cares.

I hope to get involved in opening the eyes of the masses, even if just a little bit, and making the world a more magical and weird place :)
