To be brutally honest with you, I concur.  I don't think schemas of explanations are needed for magic.  It's just something that you DO. I like Crowley's "when you do certain things, certain results follow" but better still, I like the more modern, "direct application of will to reality."  People get lost in their explanations of magic, in metaphysics and cosmologies and mental topologies.  It's important to keep our heads above water, methinks.

This is an "inspired writing" on the White Queen that I got while scrying in a crystal ball when I did a White Queen working on Sept 30 2013.

I started my banishings 5 mins before the start of the game so that my invocation could be more or less at the same time the game started.


On Friday I'll probably be at a posh supper with a friend, but I'll definitely take time to do a little "something" and join in.  Just for fun.  :)

So, I'm not sure whether anyone had a spiritual epiphany tonight, but here are some pics of my own ritual to influence.  I modified the above evocation to reflect what was actually pronounced.  Also, I started with the Latin SRP and finished with the Star Ruby for banishings.

Bascailly whenever someone suggests a game, anyone can jump in.  I'm doing my first try on Sat Dec 13 on the Tor-Det match.

Here is how I will proceed:

1) Put on ritual clothes, set up an altar with Linking Sigil as focus, burn incense, red candles, etc., etc., etc.

2) Do a ritual banishing of some sorts.  I might do the thelemic STAR RUBY http://www.thelemapedia.org/index.php/The_Star_Ruby and / or STAR SAPPHIRE http://www.thelemapedia.org/index.php/The_Star_Sapphire  Then again, I might also forego the Thelemic stuff in favour of the LSRP http://juankurse.magiqc.net/LSRP.pdf

3) I will probably use an evocation such as this one, inspired from Liber Sigilum:

Hear me and travel forth O Red Dweller, She who is nowhere found But for the place of meeting which has been arranged.

Know that I have arranged it and bid you welcome forth into a space of hockey.
The gate is open, the path is drawn.

5)  I won't even watch the game, I'll just read about it the next day.  If it's not crazy enough to be written about, then I'll have to do better next time...

For myself, it's a GO on Sat, Dec 13.  I'll probably be aiming for the Toronto-Detroit game.

Not so long ago I trolled a close friend, inviting her to a "magic competition" to prove which one of us is a better magician.  I told her that she had the Toronto Maple Leafs and I had the Montreal Canadians, and whoever's team won the next game would prove either her or I to be the better magician.  Of course her team lost, the Leafs suck, hehe.  She cares nothing for hockey and didn't know that the Leafs would surely lose, statistically speaking.  After bragging for a long that that I am the better magician, I revealed that I had trolled her and we had a good laugh. 


So, on Dec. 2, 2014, Montreal Canadians won 4-3 against Colorado Avalanche.  Remembering that there are Marauders in Denver and, feeling comical at the time, I was tempted to troll them on that situation.  Then I saw this:




So, it gave me an idea.


LET'S JINX THE HOCKEY GAMES !  Not silly "magic competitions" or pointless trolling, but adding a bit of magical spice.


What's interesting about the hockey games is that it's watched by tens of thousands of people.  Imagine if a whole bunch of crazy unusual things were to happen during the games - live on TV - that would seriously cause cognitive dissonance among the masses, perhaps a bit of a mindfuck and if we're lucky, we'll eventually mageify a few muggles.


Who's in ?  Let's plan a few game dates to spice up with a bit of magic - marauder style !

So a ceremonial magician, a wiccan and an occultist are at a bar and they all have to go pee.

The ceremonial magician pees and washes his hands using hot water and a copious amount of soap, rubbing himself all the way up to his elbows.  He claims loudly, "one has to be clean in front of the eternal Lord."

The wiccan pees and washes his hands using a tiny amount of soap and a tiny bit of water, washing only his fingers.  He says humbly, "it is important not to waste the precious ressoures of our Lord and Lady who are Nature."

The occultist pees and doesn't wash his hands.  He raises an eyebrow and looks at the other two, saying, "I didn't pee on my hands."


Anyone got another joke ?

I think the Oistar guide should be translated into other languages first.  But honestly, I think the assault on reality is translinguistic, everyone hates insubstantia . . .

Cursing.  Doing vengeful magick to people with the obvious intent that they get hurt a lot.

Not the wishy-washy fluff-bunny method of "sending bad vibes their way" through a method of kitsch visualisation; while it may be good for neo-pagans who like to have "energy" wars, I'm looking for something that will hit the target more than just "on the astral plane."

Cursing is never something I've bothered with very much.  My philosophy has always been, "the worst punishment you can give someone is to let them live with themself" and "forgiveness makes one invulnerable." 

On the few times that I've tried, I've never been even remotely good at cursing because the only times I ever want to curse is when I'm pissed off to the point of not being able to magically concentrate.  When my anger dies down, I stop wanting to actually curse the motherfucker, despite feeling hatred or spite.

But there are situations where I believe my feelings are justified and I would need a more "pro-active" approach to dealing with things.  Yes, I can do all sort of other types of magic, but I think it's time I read up and learn more about the agressive styles that aim to do actual damage to peoples' lives and selves.

Now, if anyone says to me that if I'm not a good enough magician that I can't figure it out for myself then I shouldn't be posting here, you are correct.  Yes I know, that I can simply adapt the techniques I'm already used to doing, but I'm looking for things specifically geared towards hurting others.  Hence, I'm not asking for anything other than references. 

I've read a few medieval French grimoires, and some chaos magick ressources such as the excellent Chaostar! and Toastar! by Francis Breakspeare, if anyone has any other titles or authors to recommend, it would be greatly appreciated.

Some people say that to be efficient, you have to practice a lot and, quite honestly, I can't bring myself to randomly hurt people for the sake of practice.  That's why I want to look into the theoretical and then adapt what I already know to new methods that I could learn.

Reading moral takes on this doesn't interest me, I couldn't care less about "the law of return" or any other hogwash interpretation of punitive karma.  I'm interested in technique and perspectives aimed towards results.  Vengeful results.

Ok, so the Swiss philosoper, Oswald Wirth wrote that intellectual progress extends our moral responsibility.  He wasn't talking about "rationality" or "geeky/nerdiness" nor technology / science when he wrote "intellectual" ... it meant in a much more deeper, occult sense, in relation to the initiatic process or the developmental process an individual goes through as he or she progresses in maturity. 

In this sense, I have noticed in many individuals, in many authors, in much mythology too, how when one reaches a certain stage of magical development, one has the motivation to emancipate others.  To initiate others.  To teach.  To share the sacred fire.

I see the Assault on Reality as a service to society, an artistic gift that is given to them.  Kind of like giving the spiritual keys to a mental prison.  Not everyone will want them, many people will have been "institutionalized" and will want to stay in prison.  However, does the Magician / Occultist have the moral prerogative to help hir peers to evolve as individuals and as a society?

Ok folks, so this is the update on how I will be proceding for the Ellis Generator in my city.

I have made 5 talismans out of wood.  Usually I do a finished job but this time I kept it rough.  I acquired a trowel (and believe me, that was a hard word to remember for a francophone man) and have decided that I would plant the talisans as seeds, in 5 designated public parcs.  The parks themselves don't turn out to be a rectangle, but more like some sort of 4-sided irregular polygon.  Whatever, it's still going to generate.

On the reverse, I decided to use the sigil for attaining gnosis as mentioned in Liber Sigilum.  It has a magical-enducing feel to it (at least for me) and if this ellisian generator is to make more magic in this city, having a sigil that puts people into the right state of mind is a good helpful thing IMHO.  The obverse were as per the ellisian generator specs.

(EDIT : I forgot to mention that on the side of the talismans I etched 5 Laguz runes, to represent Love Life Light Liberty and Laughter.  You can see some of them a bit.)

Then, technically, we're supposed to put up a whole bunch of signs.  So I decided to get a pack of playing cards.  On the back of the cards (I chose a red pattern, because Red Queen and stuff) and I put the Ellis Sigil on each one.  Then on the face of the cards, I decided to write with a black sharpie all sorts of DKMU slogans.  On some cards I wrote whole slogans and on others I wrote only a word, a part of the slogan.  However, I'll be mixing up the cards and spreading the cards out pretty far, as I've chosen a rather big perimeter for the ellisian generator.  The point of this is to send people out on a wild goose chase - if they find one or two cards, they'll want to find others.  Eventually just maybe google something and wind up here.

I cheated on two cards, however, as one the 5 of spades I added "Hail Eris" and the black joker says, "The Game."  Please don't be too harsh on me for my handwriting.  Doing the same sigil over and over again while repeating the mantra "and upon this mark I unite the worlds" put me in a really strange hypnotic state and made my drawings rather woozy.  As for the face side of the cards, well let's just say I got a lot of crap from my elementary school teachers when I was a kid because I write in "chicken feet."  *sigh*  Anyways, here are the pics :





So these will be taped to light posts with the back out, so that whosoever is curious about the LS will be able to unstick it and look at its face.  If the person does have the "collector's instinct" inside them, they'll want to find the others and maybe find their way back here or something.  Who knows, maybe they'll try magic as a tool for empowerment ?

My next step is to write "activation formulae" so as to "charge" the talismans and the cards prior to planting / burying or taping them to a post.  (Could this be the actual origin of the word, "posting"?)

My idea so far is a simple, 2 or 3 sentence formula as I bury the talismans, where I put all of my energy into it.  The deck of cards might siimply be charged at my house temple prior to posting, a few days later or something.

I hope this post is as interesting to you all as I am having fun doing this ritual.  Some days I look at myself and think, "fuck shit I'm crazy, and I love it !"   Today was one of those days.
