The Assault on Reality / Re: Assault on Oaths
March 17, 2017, 10:24:10 AM
You know, Oathist, we here have been working with Ellis for many years. I'm one of the newer folks and I know her since for than 5 years ( http://www.occultforum.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=29799&start=25#p440728 Good times :D ) . If she was somehow bound to an oath and that was a problem, she'd have told us by now ;)

If you want to respond that "She's oathbound not to tell", then I can just say that she seems to do quite well in general and you'll need to offer some evidence. If she can't tell Arjil and anyone else, how did you find out?

As for your claim then some DKMUs are freemasons... I have no such info, but it seems somewhat irrelevant. Freemasonry seems open enough to not be in necessary conflict with DKMU's fight against Mundanity and for a More Magickal World. If we really have members there, I'd think that we are subverting them, not the other way around  8)

If you truly write in good faith then please provide some more detail... Both on Ellis and your Oath Breaker. Then you will be taken much more seriously.

Have a Glitterbomb for good measure, on a broken door in an abandoned butchery.

Thanks a lot for all the work, Cho! It's really really appreciated  :)

On the one side it's somehow great that the message is spread. But on the other side he kind of clicked random threads, not the most obvious ones... Why not click "Linking Sigil Basics" if you already are under Assault on Reality :D
But okay, at least he confused people about what the heck we are, maybe some come and find out ;)

I agree: Go for it :) Post-it-notes, drawings with waterproof pens, self-made stickers -- everything goes in the Assault on Reality.

For inspiration you can look into our picture-gallery http://www.dkmu.org/index.php?Itemid=6&option=com_dkmumedia&func=gallery&id=27 or in the "Glitterbombing Revived"-thread https://www.dkmu.org/forum/index.php?topic=189.0 if you haven't already  8)

(Yes, this place is not very active, but it's very nice as an archive and when conversations happen, they are usually very good. So thanks for posting here  :)  )

Some random Glitterbombs here for you :)

Saw an abadoned building-container on a parking lot. Wrote "Get out of the Box" on it ;)

Versling, this sounds very interesting. Please share some details. Also on the very basics. I cannot imagine how to make JS into a tool for magick :D Please elaborate :)

When I understand your ideas, I'll gladly help making a DKMU esoteric programming language, having some years of experience in both magick and programming  ;)

Just for the record. This thread on OC by Arjil is (in my view) quite relevant to the fast-fire Magick that we have discussed here: http://occultcorpus.com/forums/index.php?/topic/27491-direct-manipulation-class/

"Finalised" Target List
(to make it more readable and printable ;) )

Here's what you folks have come up with so far. See the link above to know who wrote what. I didn't post their names here, because I'm not sure if everyone is okay with that.

Edit: I have included Ringtails post below and tried to sort it into similar ideas as well as shorten it. I have also tried to sort them, but this is of course rather subjective. To the front I've put those which I find the most practical (applicable in everyday life) and most "resulty" (less likely that it happened just by chance). I hope nothing got lost in all my copy-pasting...

- find or get coin, bill, lost object, rare pokemon, anything
- ideal traffic, get a good parking spot, hit all green traffic lights
- meet a person with specific, unusual characteristics ("with red bag and tiny dog" etc.)
- influence or predict events in a card game, video game, board game - dice rolls, coin flips, card draws...
- make the yappy dog quit, make a bird land next to you, make that cat approach you
- make stuff (computers, cell signal, lights) work, or not
- make that guy forget what he's talking about (Hey, this seems like a nice harmless way to practice cursing!  ;) )
- get a person to contact you, make someone dream about something specific and tell you about it
- influence or predict the weather, the wind
- heal physical problems - minor things like joint aches, obviously don't stop taking your chemo

- Help a friend get what they want
- any little thing you do during your day, throw some quick magick it's way to help it go your way
- make yourself more or less noticeable in a crowd, move through this crowd without difficulty
- make person x wear this kind of clothing on that day
- easy day at work
- Fotamecus time-bending
- fuck up that guys pool shot
- Hear a particular song, have someone quote a song or movie near you
- have someone post something specific on forums or facebook
- augment physical prowess, make walking easier
- try to guess who's ringing the doorbell or phone before answering
- Divine the outcome of sports
- make yourself fall asleep quickly when you usually take long
- make yourself focus on a task for a longer time than you are normally able to.
- Pranks
- see something magickal, Make enough weird magickal shit happen that other people notice
- Influence local politics, Hex public enemies

[Edit: The list is in the next post]

Hi folks  :)

I asked a question on FB and also want to ask it here:

Recently I've read an old Arjil-Post where he says that with his own system, he casts 20 spells each day. I think the text is really worth reading: https://storytellerway.com/2013/02/06/just-effing-magick/

I want to try something similar. Now the question: What are some "targets" or intents that one can use to do many spells? I could think of "I meet a woman with blue hair today" and such ideas (carrying a red bag and a tiny dog etc.). But surely there must be other things.

So, please share your ideas for intents  for magickal target practice. Of course, I'd also love to hear which methods you use to turn intents into spells and thus into reality.

If you want, you can also answer at FB: https://www.facebook.com/groups/DomusKaoticaMarauderUnderground/permalink/1359350154094750/

I'll put all answers from there in this thread, so that they don't get lost. I really am interested in the question of how to get more practice with practical magick ;)

Bonus Content :D :

On a recent walk through the forest, I saw this skull and had to leave a message.

Hi Versling, nice idea there!  8)

You can use things from this thread if you want: https://www.dkmu.org/forum/index.php?topic=121  -- there you can also find out about the mysterious alphabet  ;) , which isn't so mysterious at all :)

You can pretty certainly find something good here https://www.dkmu.org/forum/index.php?topic=189.0 -- look at those shells!

And lastly, there's a gallery of different stuff, I think most is in the DKMU folder: http://www.dkmu.org/index.php?Itemid=6&option=com_dkmumedia&func=gallery&id=5 There's really quuuuite a lot in here in terms of DKMU-pictures.

After looking at the site, I like the Invocation of course and I also really like that the pictures link to dkmu.org. I would display more than one picture at once. Maybe 4?  And maybe I'd build in an auto-refresher on every 20-30 seconds or something like that. (I think you are a more serious programmer than me, I'm just a little enthusiast, but just in case, here's how https://www.hscripts.com/tutorials/html/autorefresh.php ).

Thanks for doing this and All the Best to you  :)

Hi folks!

The creative urge hit me today (after reading about Versling's experiences here https://www.dkmu.org/forum/index.php?topic=301.0 ), so I decided to finish my DKMU-Stickers. Take a Look  8)

You can download this picture and print it on A4 Adress labels -- 8 per sheet, appropriately. Specifically I use these: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B000M22HRK/  Maybe you can find them on Amazon.com as well. (I tried but coudn't... ) If you don't use A4, you can of course simply scale them. You can also change them to your hearts content :)

Credit belongs to the entire DKMU for inspiration. Especially to Kiki and her Glamourbombing manual and to Ringtail for the "RIP The Known" idea. And of course to Lewis Carrol  ;D

It's far from artistic perfection of course, but I'm very pleased with it  :D Hope, Ellis will be too.

Explanations:
The link is to my "Make The Skeptics Convince Themselves" Document.
The symbols in the lower left are.... you find out ;) It's on the forum somewhere :)
The German one is explained in the Glitterbombing-thread.

This is just so amazing  8)  I have nothing constructive to add  :-[ but really want to respond   :)

Respect and a lot of thanks for doing such awesome work! "do not throw away symbol." -- just mind blown.

My only question would be that to evoke you (and to do all the things that she does usually), I would have thought that Ellis is already quite self-aware ?
#134
First, welcome on the Forum, Versling  :) . You're obviously quite experienced, but I never saw you before somehow.

"How would one combat a powerful disenchanter that has no idea they're using magic to make the world conform to their intentions?"

I guess it's obvious what I think.
1. Come up with the quickest method that they can try to feel a result.
2. Appeal to their sense of rationality, scepticism and curiosity to try it
3. Enjoy more Magic -- Bury the "Known":

I'm of course very much interested in your opinions on that topic in general. And if you have any suggestions for 1., I'm very curious as well.

The Assault on Reality / Re: Glitterbombing Revived

The Glitterbombing never quite stops here :)

Some of the more interesting one follow.

Quite a while ago I was interested in Satanism for a few days. Overall it's not enough content in there and defining something worthwhile purely in opposition to something not worthwhile is not quite to my liking. I still found this an interesting read, by an author who does not take himself too seriously http://www.dpjs.co.uk/ethics.html -- However, there's not much in Satanism that isn't put better in Stirners "The Ego and his Own" (one of my all-time favourites) and Nietzsches "Genealogy of Morals" (in my view the best of Nietzsche's philosophical works, the Zarathustra as a more literature-style work is a different matter and also great.)

Tl;Dr -- I made an LS combined with an inverted cross:

If we say that one pillar of modern Satanism is the idea that consensus morality and dogma are just not where it's at, agreement with DKMU's/Ellis' goals becomes apparent. Artistically it's not very good, admittedly  :-[ But I did find the idea interesting.

Later I was under a bridge and just spontaneously made this:

Nothing special, I just wanted to give us some presence in a very graffiti-heavy spot.

Still later I met a friend from a distant city who's also into magick. We were discusing that one should lead one's own life and not get mixed up in primarily solving the problems of society or following some prescribed path -- be a good catholic or a good leftist. Nothing too special here :) We did however invent a cool German slogan for that -- "Lebst du dich? Oder lebst du nich' ?" -- It roghly means "Do you live yourself or do you not live", but it rhymes and sounds good in German :D Later I went out and made a small drawing of that at a very frequented spot (it was 3am on monday, but still people were walking by and I had to leave multiple times to not be seen drawing...) I imagine quite many people have seen it by now:

This one is not artistically satisfying at all  :-[ But it's a temporary, rough wooden wall, so I thought it's a good "practice area" :D

The draft looks like this:

and I know a place where I might have the chance to make it like that or better.

These were some news from germany.
All the best to you :) and remember, Khaos provides.

Those Shells are amazing, I want to add. Those who find them will definitely be surprised and perplexed! Excellent stuff!
