The Assault on Reality / Re: Glitterbombing Revived
January 18, 2015, 09:52:34 AM
Made a couple more. Currently I'm also planning to get myself some "empty stickers", on which I can write things and put them in places. I will probably try make them so as to get people to write responses on them. More details, when I have the money to buy the stuff  ;D

(The "Riot" was not written by me, but I felt it's worth responding to.)

(Just in case someone asks, no I did not make that hole. Just found it and couldn't resist commenting in this way :D )

Welcome to this forum. I hope you can find some inspiration here to break up the routines of consensus reality even more. A street performer! This fits just perfectly what we are always talking about -- how to live beyond what everyone and his media channels tell one to do. I'm amazed!

I guess it'd be good to have a look at Ellis/LS, when you get around a lot -- might be quite an amazing experience, if you incorporate that sigil into e.g. a juggling performance once you got to know the entity (just an idea =) ).

You've probably already found it but here's a good directory of links to get to know what we're doing here http://www.dkmu.org/forum/index.php?topic=131.0

Wow people! This is absolutely astonishing work! Those playing cards! These Talismans! Co many ideas...

I will have to follow suit (  ;D  ) over here in Germany it seems.

On the old forum we had a thread to share fresh LS-Taggings.

Kiki's extremely awesome Glamourbombing-Guide inspired me to reopen this thread and make some contributions to it at the same time :) Nothing really special, but probably still two of my best, since I'm rather inexperienced in these things. Here they are:

If you have some photos, please share them too :)

Edit: A friend who knows nothing about the DKMU just sent me a HoN-Video where he is shown. And the first part of the video contains a player called "dkmushman"  8)  Such an amazing "coincidence"! I assume this is one of us? (here's the video  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9uMaa6n6DtU ).

Edit: I'm trying to rename the Topic into Glamourbombing Revived, since that is apparently the correct term, used by Kiki and the originators of the term https://anotherwiki.org/wiki/Glamourbombing https://dreamhart.org/2013/04/the-death-and-rebirth-of-glamourbombing/

Hi and welcome to the new forum!

I only know that it was printed, no sure whether hardcover or not. As far as I know, the pdf is not in circulation, even though I'd love to have it.

The Media Magician / Re: THE UNOFFICIAL DKMU GRIMOIRE
September 29, 2014, 04:06:19 PM
This is an amazing project! Thanks for putting so much work into it. Even the Submission form was awesome. I rewrote and submitted a piece I wrote for the old DBL forum. Hope it will help to reach a decent number!

To the title.
Grim war. I'm not quite sure. Is what we do a grim war? Yes, we assault reality, but isn't it rather a war on grimness than a grim war? It's kind of both... Maybe one can make something from that? Like "DKMU: A Grimwar on Grimness" ? I still don't quite like it. We are no Discordians, but still: AOS has The Book of Pleasure and we have A Grimwar?

Maybe "DKMU: The Grimwar of Pleasure" ?  I think I like that! Chaotes will recognize it and it's kind of fitting. The conflict is very real, reaLiety is quite a problem, but the Assault on it brings true pleasure as well. Yes, this is my vote.

These are just some ideas, of course it's not for me to decide.

Edit: You probably know this, but just in case: for Art, look at the DKMU-Gallery at Media on this page.
For example, the book could include 8 or 23 (or such) random photos of public LS tags, e.g. on pages which would otherwise have no pictures.

The Assault on Reality / Re: Maintaining a Presence

I agree with you, Dr. Hellfire, it not like it was actually hard to find this forum.

Glad to hear that my work is inspiring you. That is why we share it, after all :)

Also a new thing: The DKMU is always big on Alice symbolism and many people have heard the phrase "Follow the White Rabbit." So why not make a rabbit-tag? The problem is that I cannot draw at all. Not even slightly. So I went here, to learn how to draw a simple rabbit:

http://www.wikihow.com/Draw-a-Bunny

And then I tried it on a well frequented historical site and recreation spot in the woods around my town. This is my absolutely first try, just because I was too inspired to try on paper first ;)

Obviously, there are other ways to draw rabbits, but this one I liked most.

I think, this makes for an decent tag, because it's interesting and unusual, and still quite easily made. This one was made with a pencil for the helping lines, and a permanent marker for the actual drawing.

I assume that a more interesting tag leads both to a higher chance of someone reading up on the DKMU (and get their mind blown) and to a higher emotional reaction and therefore to more effect on the Ellisian network.

"You can't find meaning in life except if we give you one! You can't find happiness unless you consume what we offer you and behave within the borders we put up around you!"

This is how I view consensus reality. If you want an aim in life beyond getting rich and having children, you need to take up an "officially approved cause", like a religion or a formal political movement. Personal fulfillment is possible only through "officially approved lifestyles" which, for some reason, all include spending lots of money and so on.  As the Red Queen says, you need to run as fast as you can, to even remain where you are ("Through the Looking Glass").
("THE DIALECTIC HYPER-SOFTWARE: CONTROL" from "The Assault on Reality: A Field Manual..." is worth reading in this regard -- "Congratulations on your birth Welcome to the hive. If you did not already know, you have been born into slavery.")

I think, anything that shows alternatives to this treadmill is assaulting reality.

On the simplest level, by actually living fulfilled lives, by using our creativity and our magick to turn our time into an adventure, we already show our surroundings (and ourselves!) that the "officially approved" ways are not the only ones.

While doing that, we produce propaganda, glitterbombs, good conversations and so on, which constitute a white rabbit for others to follow, so that they too can get out of the treadmill and into the Wonderland -- hence "Operation Virus". The stuff we do as DKMU is both a way to make our own life interesting and to shake up the lives of other people.

These are just some thoughts. They feel very incomplete and I'm too tired to keep writing.  But I'm so happy to see activity in the forum that I can't help responding  ;)

Thank you for putting all this work into the forum! It's amazing!

Edit: Maybe it's worth putting a link to the IRC into this post, or just mention the channel in general.

The link is this: http://www.dkmu.org/forum/index.php?board=4.0   (should forward to the channel via a webapp)

If you want to use an actual IRC program you need to connect to the network irc.hypersigil.org (instead of e.g. freenet or quakenet) and then join the channel #domus

Just a small addition: When you think about rituals, please consider that we probably have many people who can't be there but want to connect to the working nevertheless.

Maybe we could come up with some version for lone practitioners who want to partake from far away. One simple idea would be to make a unique sigil for that ritual and have all people who want to participate charge it at the same day.

The Assault on Reality / Maintaining a Presence
July 20, 2014, 07:46:49 AM
Just to try and bring back some to this place, here are some Marauder's News from Germany for you ;)

First a way of putting the LS which I like quite a bit:

This is about 1,5 meter long (look at the pinecones for comparison, also the dot is an octagon of pinecones). I leave no writing with these, since they are basically located at random spots in the forests here, some rather close to paths, others more in the middle of the forest.

Secondly I created a small banner in Daedric Letters (From the TES Series ;)  http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Daedric_Alphabet )

It says "All Hail The Red Queen" in the typical style of Daedric writing (First letters very large, others clustered around). I wrote only one  of these so far, in a place where many people are who might know the game. I also added an LS, naturally. Must be quite interesting to find something in this writing, look for a deciphering key (which is of course very easy to find if you know that this is Daedric), and then read it. Will hopefully brighten someone's day.

I'm also leaving quite many small LS markings wherever I go and find a suitable place. I prefer to leave interesting quotes as well. "Ask me how",  "Make friends with a monster", "Death to the image. HTNF...", or sometimes simply DKMU are of course classics. Do you have more ideas? I'm always grateful for some.

Recently I started to look for suitable quotes in AOS' works (Where else? ;) ) and came up with a small design:

Other quotes are "Demand of God equality -- usurp!", "There is only one sin -- suffering. There is only one virtue -- the will to self-pleasure." and others from these pages.

and lastly, a question, if someone has time to answer:
Is the FB-Group active, or where do you guys discuss the latest magical research and marauding? On OC? On OF?(Only found a few topics here) On Reddit? Where is the talk? I really want to communicate more with fellow Khaotes, please help  :-[

Khaos provides!

Chaos Magic & Beyond / Re: Reusable Sigils?
June 15, 2014, 03:47:05 AM
Woha, one post of arjil is more useful than two random books on magick put together, as usual! Thanks a lot for that.

I use something similar myself, sigils that I charge with intent and then visualise whenever the effect is needed. It came quite naturally to me and I use the normal "One-time" way pretty rarely.

The hand gestures-idea is new to me though, will definitely try that. Thanks again.

So, are all of you chatting at the FB-Group or at IRC?

Announcements / Re: DKMU.ORG BETA

I totally support the idea of weekly events -- maybe make a poll to find two or three regular times (consider timezones, we have at least europeans and americans, probably more). And maybe once a month a "tagging sunday" or so,  to go out at around the same time and shake up reaLiety as good as we can.

Also, the new site is really nicely done. Thanks for all the work in programming and organizing this, Cho and Alysy!
Too bad I didn't notice the shutdown of the old site, does anyone have any backups of it somewhere?
