Surprisingly, I mostly find myself in Agreement with you. Long ago, I even came up with the Motto "Excellence offers Power, Power offers Freedom" -- which is very close to your "Knowledge, power, freedom."
Some disagreements are that I do care for some people and spirits :) (I guess you do too, otherwise why be a Guardian 8) ?) I also don't feel the desire to kill folks that much ;)

I especially like your point on Focus. I'll give my own point as a little addition: When to focus? I had a debate with some Catholics and want to share an idea I had there -- though it is probably not original  ;D Here comes:

Take Satan as a role model! He chose damnation because that gives him at least a *bit* of *his own life*. He'd rather *die* his way *later*, than live someone else's way, since the latter option means he'd never *actually* live *at all*. Have you no Pride?"

Now, this is just as true for any other source of desires except for one's own -- the desires of an Ideology, a concrete politician, Leftism, the White race, Humanity... It really doesn't matter. On this view, you either Live Your Way, or you do not live.

Soo... interesting. Yesterday I was discussing Goetic Demons with Gerie (Thanks for a great discussion, Bro <3). During that, I reread the 72 descriptions in DuQuette's Goetia and endet up on Seere, the 70th Spirit -- again. Two years ago I already had planned an evocation, but decided to evoke Ellis instead, which was one of the best decisions of my life ( https://www.dkmu.org/forum/index.php?topic=253.0 ).

Now, today I woke up early and started thinking whether or not I want to add working with a Goetic Demon to my life -- one described as "He appears in the form of a beautiful man, riding upon a winged horse. His office is to go and come; and to bring abundance of things to pass on a sudden, [...] He is of an indifferent good nature, and is willing to do anything which the Exorcist desires."

And as it is with Spirits and me, this thinking kind of naturally evolved into visualising him and from there into dialogue  :) ... We talked a bit, and came to the terms that he woud support me in my life going well (i.e. according to my desires) so far as he was comfortable, and I would do for him as much as I was comfortable. In my mind, what I can do for him is general devotion, thinking highly of him, incence etc., but also something like putting his Sigil out into the world and "spreading the word" ;) . (Edit: If we assume  that this is something that these Spirits desire, then the pact is quite symmetrical -- he support my life going well and I support his. Obvious, but interesting.) What I think he can do for me is suport my Life and more specifically my intents (and thus my servitors) with his own Magick.

I do not expect him to put in more effort for me than I put in for him, but I do expecct his influence to be strictly positive -- there is no reason for anything else, and anything else would also be "filtered out" of my by my own LS-powered Magick  8) The idea is that some things are easier for me, as a Spirit with a body (like putting out a symbol into the world) and other things might be easiert for a centuries-old Spirit without a body, like manipulating probabilities. So we can have a positive-sum exchange :)

We'll see if he will create a noticeable improvement  ;)

I think it was your idea. I read it on the forums or one of the groups recently.

My idea, or rather question, was just "Can we learn something from MtA? If yes, which books to read etc." ;) But I'm happy if that served as an inspiration :)

Edit: Oh, I misunderstood you :D Now I get it, you meant that the "You are the Key; You are the Door was my idea". Not the MtA thing. ;D Epic Fail at reading comprehension from me. Well, at least I can't remember to have read it somewhere -- but who knows :D I posted into the main group recently.
