Hello there
« on: November 15, 2018, 01:11:34 am »
Pleased to say I am the 666th member. Just came across the Linking Sigil today. Looked it up. Learned about DKMU. Found this forum. Saw that there were 665 members and I knew exactly what to do. Been unofficially doing chaos magic/shamanism/druidic time magic since.... probably since I could form thought, like most children. I was lucky enough not to be forced into forgetting it. I love learning things that are not known to me, constantly connecting concepts and making that magic happen. Any tips on what topics to read as I’m starting out here will be met with much gratitude.

Hi merlin and welcome :)

Can you say a bit more on how you came across the LS? :) Very curious.

Personally, my most favourite thing in the DKMU "canon" is this: https://storytellerway.com/2013/02/06/just-effing-magick/ by Arjil, the creator of the LS. This here, by me, might serve as an introduction: http://occultcorpus.com/forums/index.php?/topic/27438-chaos-magick-exercise/page__view__findpost__p__164183

On big books with a lot of relevant essays, we have the Field Manual for the Strange Psyche and the Liber LS [Can't get the links currently, should be available soon]

And here's a thread with lots of good short parts of texts, many of which I consider to be DKMU highlights https://forum.dkmu.org/index.php?topic=380

Here's the LS basics thread: https://forum.dkmu.org/index.php?topic=7.0

We also have a picture gallery for LS tags, if you're interested: https://forum.dkmu.org/index.php?topic=189.0

Let me finish with a quote from the oldest text about the LS :)
"The only point of the linking sigil is to form a magick net, all working to increase the levels of magick in the world, like a giant spell that evolves and grows each time we add to it till eventually." –Arjil

"The Assault on Reality lives in you.
This is what you were born to do." -Ahavah Ain Soph

"As far as what I think the DKMU is? It's a promise to never stop fighting against mundanity, to always be injecting the weird into the world" - Timothy Buell

"Put in the work! :)" - Geri
